Century Memorial

Bryant Godwin, the eldest son of our much esteemed associate, Parke Godwin, and who bore the honored name of his grandfather, [William Cullen Bryant], passed away in his early manhood, all too soon in a career which opened with the brightest promise. He was of a particularly modest and reserved nature, but he was possessed of qualities which would have insured him success and position in whatever he undertook, had not long continued ill health defeated him in his efforts.
