Mr. Varnum, announcing the decease of Mr. John A. Graham, offered the following Resolution, which was unanimously adopted.

The Century Association has learned with deep regret of the death at Chicago, on October 27th [sic], of John A. Graham of this city, for nearly twenty years an esteemed and valued member of the Century. The Secretary is directed to place this memorial upon the records of the Association, and to transmit a copy thereof to the family of the deceased with an expression of the deep sympathy of the Association in their bereavement.

Monthly Meeting Minutes, 3 November 1883

The Club has lost by death during the year the unusually small number of five members. These are: Edwin D. Morgan, Gustav Schiff, John A. Graham, John H. Willard and Albert F. Bellows.

The memory of those among them whose frequent presence entitles them to be regarded and mourned almost as household friends, has been already honored by the Century in appropriate resolutions.
