Century Memorial

Charles Carroll Lee, one of the best known physicians of New York, was a great grandson of Charles Carroll of Carrollton, one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. He was a gentleman of liberal education; of great skill in his profession; and his family connections were of the best. At the time of his death he was President of the County Medical Society; a member of the Academy of Medicine; of the Pathological Society of New York; a professor at the Post Graduate Hospital, and attendant physician at the New York Foundling Asylum. He was of a quiet and retiring nature; but under that modest exterior none could fail to recognize the sterling merit of the man.
