Century Memorial

Edwin Ludlow’s great skill as engineer had been applied for a lifetime to the development of coal deposits and coal properties, in which work he engaged immediately after his graduation from the Columbia School of Mines in 1879. He had developed the coal lands of half a dozen railways, occupying an important official position on the staff of one of them.
