Stout. Father of Robert Shaw Minturn; brother-in-law of Mahlon D. Sands; father-in-law of Henry Dwight Sedgwick Jr. and Isaac Newton Phelps Stokes; grandfather of Francis Minturn Sedgwick.
Robert B. Minturn, for a time the Treasurer of the Club, always maintained the high character inherited from a father well known and honored as one of New York’s most distinguished merchants, and he was always regarded as one of our most valued members.
