Century Memorial

James Hude Beekman, brother of the late Judge Beekman, was among the oldest members of the New York Stock Exchange, though he died at the relatively early age of fifty-three, and had retired several years previously. He was for a long time a partner in the firm of Robert Winthrop & Co. He was a popular member of nearly all the older clubs of the city, both social and sporting; a genial gentleman, whose solid qualities won the respect and esteem of a wide circle of friends.
