Century Memorial

Gordon Norrie was a New Yorker whose father had been a successful merchant and a founder of St. Luke’s Hospital. To the interests of an inherited estate, to the family charity, to patronage of the arts, and to usefulness as a citizen the son devoted his life of seventy-two years [sic: seventy-nine]. He came to us nineteen years ago by right of his cultivated taste, his pleasant manners, and his wide acquaintance among us. His services as treasurer and vice-president of St. Luke’s endeared him likewise to the larger world.
