Century Memorial

Francis Le Roy Satterlee, one of our older medical practitioners, had turned his skill to many avenues of usefulness in his profession. His specialty was gout and rheumatism; but he had been police surgeon, attending physician at the St. Elizabeth’s Hospital and the Midnight Mission, and professor of various medical branches at the New York University, the New York College of Dentistry, and other institutions. He was a member of one of our old families, and leaves behind him sons who are already distinguished in their father’s profession.
