David McNeely Stauffer, civil engineer, veteran of the Civil War, and author of a work in four volumes on American Engravers. He was a traveller, and a man of many interests; as successful as a collector of autographed letters of the Signers of the Declaration of Independence, as he was eminent in his own profession.
