Century Memorial

No words of eulogy are necessary in remembrance of Hooper C. Van Vorst, who at the time of his death was one of the trustees of the Club. We have already placed upon record our expression of regret at his death, and of the regard in which he was universally held. His conspicuous public services, his unfailing and valuable assistance in every good word and work, his high standard of character as a public man and as a Christian gentleman, his ability and integrity as a jurist, and his simple and ingenuous nature made him an honor to the city in which he lived, and shed a lustre upon our membership.
