Century Memorial

George Washington Vanderbilt, of studious tastes and a munificent patron of the fine arts: the Vanderbilt Gallery in the American Fine Arts Society building was his gift. He was the owner of the estate of Biltmore, North Carolina, which his inherited wealth enabled him to assemble and his constructive perseverance enabled him to complete.
