Century Memorial

Robert S. Webb was the eldest son of James Watson Webb, for many years editor of the Courier and Enquirer, later United States Minister to Brazil, and the brother of Alexander S. Webb, president of the City College. He served with distinction as Lieutenant-Colonel of Volunteers during the Civil War, and was a gallant and meritorious soldier. Of late years he has lived in the country, and died at Bridgeport, Conn., at an advanced age.
