Century Memorial

Osborn E. Bright was a careful and accomplished lawyer. He was a graduate of Brown University, and was engaged in this city during his whole professional life, and was in charge of large and varied interests, which he managed with great ability. He served during two campaigns in the Twenty-second Regiment of the New York National Guard in 1862 and 1863. He had many warm personal friends, who respected him for his ability and his loyalty. His devotion to his profession was so great that his health became seriously impaired; but so high was his sense of duty that he remained at his post at the risk of his health, and finally paid the penalty which his physicians predicted. He was a faithful friend, and conscientious in the performance of his duty.
